So Grandma suggests a more drastic move on the part of her son-in-law. He must "disappear" from home and leave them entirely to their own devices. W ith Arthur "gone" and all charge accounts cut off, they come to their senses. Ralph, the son, gets a job and is saved from becoming an idler. June applies for and gets a position as English teacher in a high school. And Sally! What a change comes over her! For when Arthur returns home several weeks later to announce that he really has lost his job, he finds a household that is realy and willing to work shoulder to-shoulder with him. And his gratitude to Grandma knows no bounds for setting his house in order. A smiling and happy Grandma retorts: 'Al may be seventy years old, but nobody can beat Grandma once she gets going."
