Class Prophecy After 20 years of separatron the Peetz Senrors of 1957 decrded to hold a class reunron at the dedrcatlon of the new mrllrou dollar school additron burlt by Brauer, Nrenheuser and Frsher We find that after four years of college Douglas Brauer took over as President of the constructron company We are surprised to find that ,hm Nelson rs now drrectlng the New York Symphony Orchestra but a brgger surprrse comes when we frnd that Allen Wrlleford rs hrs chauffeur Allen says that sheep farming is not as profitable as rt was when he was still ln Mr Bergman's Ag class When everythrng is quiet rn the hallway we suddenly hear some very strange norses It rs no one except Helen Fehrrnger talkrng to herself After Helen sees all of us starrng at her she then tells us that she has been a nurse at the Pueblo State Hosprtal too long because she rs begrn ning to act lrke a patient herself As we frnish our conversation wrth Helen Rrchard Frnley comes drrvrng up ln 8 pretty whrte car We frnd out that the only way he could keep from gettrng prcked up was to become a state patrolman He says rt really rs a Job keeprng these Peetz krds under control As Dorothy Segelke comes through the door, we notrce she is wearrng a unrform She te s us that rnstead of getting marrred she became an arrlrne stewardess for Trans World Arrlrnes She also tells us that she en1oys her work very much and gets to see a lot of the world As Patsy Meyer arrrves on the scene she tells us of all her unfortunate experrences and of her last resort to settle down as an old mard and run the Leftover Lovelres Lonely Hearts Club of Peetz She says that she also took over her Dad s grocery store as a means of rncome when her dad retrred Donnre Roberts tells us that he and Chuck Fry decrded to come up to the dedrcatron at the last mrnute Donnre says that he and Sharon now marrred are the parents of frve little Donnres and own a 20 sectron ranch down rn Kenasaw Valley Since Chuck rs so modest Donnre also tells us that Chuck rs the brg wheel of the Natronal Western Stock Show rn Denver each year As we are looking over the map of the country to see how rt has changed Glenn Bartels arrrves and tells us that he and NaDean are helprng Maurrce Nelson manage hrs 50, 000 acre wheat and cattle ranch west of Peetz When Deanna Ross fformerly Deanna Herboldshermerj arrrves we frnd that she also has settled west of Peetz She rs marrred to Dave Ross and rs busy rarsrng therr family As the Senrors that have already arrrved srt drscussrng former experrences we can not help but wonder what has happened to Marlys Grllham When she arrrves a few minutes later she tells us that she has a Job keeprng books for Brrtrsh Amerrcan Orl Company and she rs strll wart rng for some Texas orl krng to marry her We all become exerted when we see Sharon Hawkrns because the car she rs drrvrng has Holly wood lrcense plates on rt We all are thrnkrng how nrce it rs for one of our former classmates to be a real movre star When she comes rnto the burldrng we ask her what Hollywood name she goes by Then the sad news breaks She tells us that she exercrses horses for Hopalong Cassrdy After the excrtement about Sharon dres down Lrnda Roper arrrves and tells us that she rs strll srngle and rt looks lrke she is gorng to stay that way When we ask her why nobody has proposed yet she tells us that men are afrard to because she rs the new champron of the world rn women's wrestlrng As we Senrors of long ago srt talkrng of old trmes and brrngrng back old memorres Pat John son arrrves at the party and tells us that after she grew up and found out how terrrble rt was to have your out house trpped over she started a great project She rs now manager of a company known as the Trp Proof Out House Construction Company As we contrnue our conversatron of the past, we account for everyone except Gary Merer About the trme that hrs name rs mentroned an old truck comes rattlrng up and Gary Merer Jumps out of rt He says that he has brought watermelons as the refreshments for the evenrng He tells us that he rs now runnrng a brg watermelon farm and the reason that he rs late rs because he had to run some Peetz boys out of hrs patch Now that the new school addrtron has been dedrcated and all the Senrors of 1957 have been accounted for we are lookrng forward to agarn meetrng rn 20 years rn thrs new addrtron and re calling the past 40 years' experrences

Class Will The 1957 graduatrng class of Peetz Hrgh bemg of sound mmd and body has prepared this document as tts last wtll and testament, and does hereby appoint Pete Fogale presrdent of the Jumor class as executor of same We request that he carefully execute these tnstructrons and make certatn that each bequest rs granted to the proper recrprent wrthout regard for hrs personal safety and wrthout self reward We have known thrs Junior class leader for several years and feel he rs best qualtfred to carry out our requests Our most prrzed possessrons have been stored rn the treasure chest of our mrnds and we do hereby relrnqursh the key to our treasures Pete Fogale, as presrdent of the Juntor class we now gwe you the key to the treasure chest and request that you present to proper persons the gtfts we have bequeathed To you as Juntor class presrdent we leave the greatest responsrbrlrty for gutdrng the senror class offrcers to be elected next fall Members of the graduatrng class wrll not be present to render servrce so they are en trusting you wrth thrs duty To the entrre Juntor class we leave a bountrful grft the prrvtlege of reachrng the top place rn our hrgh school It rs an honor to be semors rn our hrgh school and wtth rt goes the responsr brlrty of settrng a good example and gurdmg the younger students We know you possess the trarts of leadership so it ts with confrdence that we pass on to you the opportuntty to spend one year as semors of Peetz High Deep tn our treasure chest we have stored a respect and affectron for our hrgh school faculty Day after day you have torled rn our behalf Far too few are your rewards for gurdrng our learmng To you we grve our deepest gratrtude and hope that tn the years ahead of us we can prove our selves worthy of your efforts We semors feel duty bound to use our talents and our tratnrng as wrsely as possible we are determrned that we wtll make good rn the Jobs we undertake and that we wrll never shrrk our duty We srncerely hope that we can measure up to the standards you set before us and tn dorng so wtll grve you and the rncomrng students of our school the destre to reach success Members of the sophomore class you are the mrddle chrld of the famrly Your lrfe will go along wrth few changes rn the next year but have courage your peak year is sttll ahead Through out the past nrne months you have proved you are capable of sharmg the work requrred to make thrs a top notch school We request that you be glven further responstbnlrtres rn your Jumor year To you wtll go the prrvrlege of plannrng next year's Junror sentor banquet We hope you do as good a 1ob as the Junror class of this year drd for us We bequeath you the power to serve your school whenever you are called upon to do so in the coming year Freshmen you have adyusted to hrgh school ltfe remarkably well and we semors feel that you are now ready to accept greater duties We charge you wrth the responstbrltty of makrng the new freshman class arrrvrng next fall feel at home rn your school You wrll be expected to teach them the customs of your school and act as brg brothers to these boys and grrls enterrng a strange new lrfe To all of Peetz l-llgh s student body we leave the large store of reference materrals avallable rn the lrbrary We no longer have need for the books frled on these book shelves and we know that you wtll be able to rmprove your knowledge through theu use Handle them wrth care but do study hard from them they possess a mountatn of worthwhrle tnformatron whrch wrll make your stay here most profrtable They are not yours to keep stmply loaned to you Others wtll be needrng them for many years so see that they are not destroyed or damaged Belrevrng you to be trustworthy students we feel confrdent that you can both use and preserve them Fellow students of Peetz I-hgh School there are a number of plans we semors lard last fall whrch we have been unable to complete Srnce our trme rs over and we can no longer remarn carry out these plans we request you who have not yet completed htgh school to keep these dreams tn mmd and try to fulfrll them There was the matter of basketball and football trophres whtch we were unable to wtn Return to the season next fall wrth greater sktll and try to brtng those to our school We semors drd not prove ourselves to be the outstandtng scholars we had hoped You have trme yet to garn hugh scholastrc records When school begrns next fall, be ready to complete the tasks we left undone The last treasure we have stored away rs a mrllron thanks to our parents and our communrty of frrends who made our educauon possible We can repay you only through like servtce To ntght we extend you our thanks and a promrse to lrve up to your example I . ... . . .
