Hampered by an inability to be consistent throughout the grid campaign, the Red Devils lost their first two games, they came back fighting and when the season ended they were in a three way tie for second place in the HRL. Although Peekskill lost their first two games, the second of those was really a heart-breaker as the game was taken out of their hands in the final three seconds. The Red Devils came back in the following two weeks with thrilling vic- tories over Pleasantville and Washington Irv- 1ng. After two wins, the Red Devils tasted defeat again as they bowed to North Tarrytown and Hastings, but came back fighting again to whip Edison Tech and Ossining. These last two games were broadcast over radio station WLNA. The Peekskill High School Iunior rsity grid squad, under the watch- l eye of Mr. Moser, finished the 50 season with a lot of praise. Although the Devils were rapped out by Ossining and North Tarry- wn, they never stopped striving til they could give their coaches hat they wanted. Though whipped ice during the season, the Devils me out on top with three wins and e tie to their credit. All the members of the I.V. team ere either sophomores or freshmen. is gives the varsity outlook for ture years a spot of brightness, for ost of the boys will have had some eatly needed experience.
