T Basketball Scoreboard he Peebles High School Varsity, with a new coach, Mr. James Arnold, came in a close second in both the Adams County League and Adams County Tournament, beaten by Seaman in close competition. During the 1963-64 basketball season, the varsity scored 1,430 points, averaging 62 .2 points per game. Though they broke no records, the Varsity Team did a fine job of keeping our school near the top. This was not surprising for the little Indians had an all-round record of sixteen wins and four losses, winning all but one county game and three out of five in the Tri-County games. The team was victorious in all these events. Entering the tournament, however, they drew West Union and were turned out in a 3-2 loss. Peebles scored two hits and two runs to West Union's nine hits and three runs. Jack Austin pitched for the Indians against Tom Potts of West Union. 34
