Dalene Whitehurst 'S To the Seniors of '79, The theme of this yearbook, your yearbook, is Sunrise, Sun- set. It is a song taken from the Broadway musical Fiddler on the Roof The sunrise signifies a beginning, the joy of a new day, a new way of life. The sunset is representative of an ending, the closing of a finished chapter, the sorrow of parting with an old way of life. Life at Pecos High School has been filled with memo- ries for us all, many of them beautiful, a few sad. Yet, they are all important. The seniors of 1979 have come to the sunset of their days at Pecos High School. lf, somehow, preserved in the pages of this book are the memories-the smiles, the joys, and even the headaches, of this year-all the work put into this yearbook has been worthwhile. As we approach the dawning of a new way of life, I hope that you will look back on your years at Pecos High School with love and fond memories, and remember with pride Editor ' ' ff itll , .
