FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS Later, in February, Paul Benjamin of Capetown, South Africa, came to P.H.S. Paul, who left an older brother and his parents in South Africa, says that the people of Pecos have been friendly and kind to him during his stay. Paul likes sports, rugby, cricket, and squash. Having already graduated from school in Cape Town, Paul's main goal at present is to see America and later to be either ajournalist or a lawyer. On August 20, 1972, the town of Pecos, Texas and P.H.S. welcomed Dietrich Nelle, the Rotary Exchange Student from West Germany. Dietrich is from Norden- ham, in the northern part of West Germany. He is 16 years old, a senior at P.H.S., and already knows seven different foreign languages. Coming to America, he left behind his parents, two sisters, and a brother. Dietrich's hobbies are playing chess, soccer, and eat- ing Spanish food!! !! He does not really find that much difference between the Germans and the Americans, except for our loud yelling at our football games!!!!!!! . ' H . - ' if A ' ' - f 3 I :z '-Q, , 1- , V. -f.
