IN THE opening game the Bucs bowed to Hyde Park 20-O. The second game proved a bitter disappointment when Spring Valley took an l8-6 victory, but not without a stubborn battle on the part of our team. The following week the Bucs were off and flew to a 35-O walloping of the hapless Flying Dutchmen from Piermont. Then the Pirates downed Suffern 6-O in a tight defensive game. After a breather with Peekskill Military Academy at which the Bucs won, 27-6, they ventured to the wigwam of the Nyack Indians. Scoring in each half, they returned home with a I2-O victory. The Dextertowners then defeated Haverstraw 25-6 in a rough tussle and gained for themselves a tie with Suffern for the championship, The leaders of the scoring parade were Bob Smith 30 and Vic Veltidi 25 points. 53
