President h F of i HOWARD SCHWINN DELICE SEYMOUR Vice President Treasurer MARY F Secrefary The Sergeants Manual ' ROHLING INETEEN HUNDRED AND FORTY-TWO saw a class of happy yet reluctant students leave school, a class whose thoughts returned to the day four years ago when we entered the P. R. H. S. full of energy and a possible trace of fright. Our dismay pushed aside, we forged ahead to solve the intricate system of high school ethics, methods, and rules. Our freshman year flew by leaving us just enough time to have a play and become acquainted with our teachers and friends. As sophomores we worked hard at our studies but somehow a few amusements and a dance or two creeped into our curriculum. Thoughts of the junior year quickly supplemented the few remembrances as sopho- mores. This year could be called revolutionary for, for the first time the juniors broke tradi- tion in making the junior prom a success which sent us on toward our goal, the Senior Trip! Our long awaited year had arrived, we were now Seniors! We had two important items on the calendar-a class trip and the yearbook publication. The yearbook staff strove to make the book one of the best ever published and carried out a patriotic theme in keeping with the times. Our much discussed trip to Washington was finally cancelled because of the war. Then at the crossroads, where we parted, some to jobs, some to college, each on his own way to success-our thoughts turned to our teachers, and we wanted to thank them for their four years of help, advice, and efforts to prepare us for our future. 6
