HE General Organization is a student governing body consisting of repre- sentatives from each class in the high school. Its purpose is to serve the student body by aiding any group which needs its help, For instance, the G. O. provides the letters for the athletic groups and helps other groups fi- nancially such as the honor society and boys' and girls' Hi-Y. The G. O. sets the traffic rules and chooses the judges for the traffic court. They serve the student body in any matter which comes to their at- tention. MURPHY HONOR SOCIETY President ' ARTHUR HEIDGERD Vice-President ELEANOR HICKS Secretary VIRGINIA VAN DINE Treasurer WILLIAM WAGNER Adviser MISS D. TRUESDELL EMBERSI-IIP in the Honor Society consists of juniors and seniors who have a minimum scholastic average of 8552 and are outstanding in leader- ship and service. Its purpose is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, promote leadership, and develop character. Throughout the year the Honor Society gives various awards to deserving students. 23
