BOARD MEMBERS HONORED AT PRC Twenty year members of the Pearl River Junior College Board of Trustees were honored as seven etchings were unveiled, honoring past and present members who have served at least twenty years since 1909. The ceremony was part of a year long observance of PRC ' s 75th anniversary. Pictured above are, from left to right, Dr. Marvin R. White, president of Pearl River Junior College; Dennis Fortenberry, Jefferson Davis County; Frank Fortenberry, Marion County; Everette Eaton, Lamar County; and Charles Speed, Jefferson Davis County. A special ceremony was held March 1 2. The honorable Vernon Broom, former chief justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court, was the guest speaker. A reception was held in the Rotary Room of the cafeteria with Dr. Marvin R. White welcoming family and friends. Former boards members honored were J.L. McGehee, Pearl River County, 1910-30, deceased; I.S. Kirkland, Pearl River County, 1914-35, deceased; Osborne Moody, Pearl River County, 1948-80.
