The class of '28 is taking off about half of the team, not the least of whom is Lance. Nlany a time we have delighted in watching him tackle Bulldogs and such animals, and somehow, we always feel safe when he gets the ball. RELJBEN MAXWELL ............ Monticello, Mississippi A straight-forward. open-hearted youth, capable lo manage his own concerns. Reuben is a hard working, conscientious student. Quiet and unassuming as to dis- position, he has gained many friends among the teachers and students. To his stead- fastness of purpose and his ability to surmount obstacles we give profound admira- tion. CURTIS MCRANEY ............. Prentiss, Mississippi hll is our actual work which determines our values. Quiet in his nature, diligent in his work, and persistent in his purpose, Curtis is one who believes that doing', is better than talking about doing. His executive ability was manifested during his term as president of the Reveille Literary Society. juuus MCRANEY . ........... His stay here has been filled with an earnest striving to better any activity with which he came in contact.
