Progress s Crossgates Progress is defined as a forward movement or a gradual betterment, Life itself is a series of progression and we only fail when we slip back- ward or come to a standstill. We, at Pearl-MeLaurin are jus- tifiably proud of the progress that we have made. It shows in every phase of our school from athletics thru curriculum, We know with a deep certainity that we will always go forward in all our endeavors ever striving for the betterment of our school. 8

Administration The success of any undertaking is directly related to the desire and ambition of its members, promoted through the co-operation and understanding of each individual in- volved. The success of an educational institution can be measured only by the quality of its product. It has been our desire to promote the best in each individual, while decreasing the number and magnitude of our faults. We hope that, in the years to come, we will all be better and stronger because of our association together, We appreciate the material development of our school facilities made possible by the community as a whole. We sincerely appreciate the splendid leadership being assumed by our local board, patrons, students, teachers and administrators. lt is our prayer, that in later years as we turn back through this annual we will be able to say as individuals that we all made contributions to a successful school year in 1970-71.
