baseball The Red Devil baseball team breezed through their sixteen game schedule with- out suffering a defeat to capture their third consecutive District Six Crown. With a lot of hard work on the part of Coach Emory Davis and the hustling of a determined squad of boys, they increased their winning streak to twenty-nine straight games. Riding on the strong right arms of Bill Dennis and Graham (Riggy) Bales and with great backing from their mates the boys produced a coach’s dream, an undefeated team . This spring when the baseballs start to fly again, the Big Red Squad will be try- ingfor the state record which now stands at thirty-two won, consecutively, without a loss . Cheerleaders The Cheerleader s are elected by the Student Body and are sponsored by the Girls Athletic Director . These girls worked hard throughout the whole year, designing their uniforms and having them made in the summer. They practiced their figures long before school opened to be ready for the football season. This group, with the cooperation of the entire school, has done much to improve school spirit and sportmanship.
