There have been a few obstacles which have arisen in our path and somewhat hindered our work, but we feel that these have only made us work all the harder. As we, the Peariscope Staff , present this annual which represents our greatest efforts, we sincerely hope you will keep and cherish it as a re- cord of a glorious period in your lives.

football Under the expert hands of Coach Emory Davis and As sistant C oach Danny Romanello, the Red Devils posted a 5 won, 3 lost, and 1 tie season. The Red Devils started by tying the once mighty Pulaski Orioles 13-13. Following this Dublin was trampled 30-0. Then the boys hit a rough road and lost to Christians burg 26-13, and to Galax 7-0. The team started on the up grade again by defeating Fries 13-6 and Peter stown 32-12. The Devils rose to their greatest height when they defeated the giant-killing Wythe ville Maroons 13-12. Radford found the Big Red team too much for them and bowed 13-6. The season closed with Narrows taking the Homecoming game with a score of 27-0. Such are the fortunes of a football team.
