For more than half a century, Peacock High School has stood as a center of learning in our community. Hundreds of students have gone out from this school to take their places in colleges, vacations and jobs. The records of achievement which they have left behind and the measures of success which have come to them, indicate that Peacock High School was and is an institution of learning of which any community might be proud to call its own. Yes, Peacock High School stands as a monument to education. Figuratively speaking, we may say that its protecting walls have been a shield against the ill winds of illiteracy; its doors have opened the way to learning; its windows have let in the light of knowledge and truth; its roof has withstood the storms of intolerance. Within its walls, its warmth has served as a friendly hearth, radiating trust and friendship among students and teachers.
