For more than half a century, Peacock High School has stood as a center of learning in our community. Hundreds of students have gone out from this school to take their places in colleges, vacations and jobs. Yes, Peacock High School stands as a monument to education. Figuratively speaking, we may say that its protecting walls have been a shield against the ill winds of illiteracy; its doors have opened the way to learning; its windows have let in the light of knowledge and truth; its roof has withstood the storms of intolerance. Within its walls, its warmth has served as a friendly hearth, radiating trust and friendship among students and teachers. I consider this year, that high point of my career. To me It has been a very successful year; I hope that it has been a good year for you.
