aYea, Sea Following the holidays, we returned to school eagerly anticipating all of the exciting activities that a new semester holds. Those first two weeks were accompanied by a hectic pace which included buying new books, preparing for rush parties, making necessary schedule changes and sending in our last deposit for the spring cruise to the Bahamas. For this was a busy time of last minute activities, life-long decisions, and formal graduation arrangements. Yet, somehow the springtime weather changed this air of seriousness into a feeling of lightheartedness and sensitivity. School work became less demanding as sA ' e lay on Peace Beach soaking up those warm rays of sunshine. Thus, the glory of new spring dresses suddenly brought about crash diets and vigorous exercising. Tabs and salads soon replaced our usual midday meals of bread, potatoes, and cake. As those last few weeks of school could be counted down, likewise could the last few dollars in our bank accounts. However, somehow we always managed to pack ten people in Dad ' s station wagon in order to make an economic week-end beach trip Cit didn ' t matter that we had to sell our souls to get those last few dollars]. These days A ere so memorable as we came back to school the following Sunday evening with wet clothes, suntanned faces, and not a darned bit of completed homework.
