v tA ywiA awnluow-n. Have you caught the Peace College Christmas Spirit? It ' s everywhere! For tomorrow evening is our big Christmas Dance, and everyone is in the dining hall making preparations. We ' re having a great band this year; they even play some beach music! And hey, what about our hall party planned for the f ollosA ing Monday night?! Has everyone signed the refreshment list? Make sure we don ' t have thirty girls donating one bag of potato chips! Another exciting aspect of a Peace Christmas is our delicious gourmet dinner. You can ' t miss it! All of your favorite desserts will be displayed in abundance. Just remain settled until you have seen the fabulous Christmas Program coordinated by April Snow. For this year we are presenting an altered version of Tvwas the Night; Before Christmas. Girls, the Christmas program is over, and it is now time to join in on the Christmas Chain. Remember to put on your running shoes and look out for those leading sophomores on third-floor in Ross! For they are traveling at full speed as they trample down halls and stairways. Remember to hang on tight! The Christmas season has brought lots of excite- ment, but it A ouldn ' t be complete without a Get- Together at Dr. Frazier ' s home. For at this time we are in the company of trea- sured classmates, delicious goodies, and a tree which glows radiantly. QjaJcim.a xpc ' f a }f€ A u i ri e First semester both started and concluded on a hectic note! How can anyone forget the initial pain of pre-registration? Your schedule isn ' t right, you don ' t have a lunch period, and who in her night mind wants an S: 1 5 class five days a week! Well, finally everything gets straightened out, and we move on to a new phase of college life — elections. With ourfreshmien friends becomiing better acquainted with a college routine, it was nowtimie to elect freshmen class officers. This was an exciting timie which included posters, banners, speeches and bribery. Who would be our freshman Class President? Would it be Louise next door, or would it be some unfamiliar face you had never seen before? Only election day would tell! Although exams time had originally seemed far off, we abruptly found out that it wasn ' t! Nights at Tut ' s and N.C. State were cut short as all good Peace girls settled down for long hours of dedicated study (consisting mostly of reading all those chapters that we should have read weeks agol None of us wanted to see an entire semester ' s work shattered by a lousy final exam grade, so out came the eye-glasses and into the trash went the Glamour magazine as we all worked frantically to make the grades n had on- -- ginally anticipated. Ending the semester on a studious note, we packed our bags and rushed home for the holidays. u ATTumh ifli AnL '
