-re nt OJi meS Chitter-chatten was heard throughout the campus as the graduates of 1 SB1 returned to visit with their classmates. As more and more of the graduates arrived, a panorama of fall colors burst upon the scene. The occasion might have been a fashion show, for the graduates displayed all the latest styles, not to mention all their school fads. This reunion found the girls catching up on the latest news: Are you still dating Wade? How do you like Chapel Hill? Isn ' t your hair longer? All these important conversations continued until the girls found themselves in a place that none had missed — the Peace cafeteria. As they tasted the delicacies placed before them, all the memories of Peace College meals floated back into their minds. One girl asked, Isn ' t the chicken better than usual? - fs.v friend answered, Yes, this time it tastes like chicken! Such a comment, of course, reflected all the good manners that she had acquired at Peace. After dinner, the graduates squealed with delight and anticipation to learn that they would now see a slide show of their graduation — thanks to Mr. King, who taped it on Peace ' s new color-video recorder. The girls found it hard to watch and talk at the same time. Oh, there ' s Mom with a rose in her hand and a tear in her eye. And, there ' s Dad; he looks sad and happy and proud, all at once. Is that a tiny tear in his eye? Has he just realized that his little girl has become a lovely young woman? There ' s my roommate; wonder if she still tapes that curler to her head each night before going to bed? Gee, did my hair really look like that? These slides were fun and brought back memories dear to the heart, a heart that whispered, No, I ' ll nev- er forget you. Peace Col- lege. I left you a part of me, and you gave me these memories to cherish forever. (D -1 - n (11 1 ej k »
