Music that brings sweet sleep down the blissful skies. — There is confusion worse than death, trouble on trouble, path on path . . . The lotus blooms below the barren peak. In reality, we are all a part of the student government because it we weren ' t here, there would be no one to govern. Leslie Dark, presi- dent of PSGA, states, PSGA ' s purpose is to offer various activities for the students to participate in and to enjoy. The Dating Game, Halloween Carni- val, Stunt Night, Spring Dance, and other such ac- tivities are PSGA sponsored. Leslie Dark — President Donna Slaughter, Shawn West, Jo Ann Currm. PSCA provides opportunities to meet new friends, worship with them, have fun with them . . . and estab- lish relationships that will not end in May when we are separated, says Beth Merrill, PSCA president. Some of the functions which PSCA sponsors are the Student- Faculty Picnic, the Litde Sister Picnic, and Peanut Week. It also provides special services such as the Thanksgiving Service of Communion in November and the Holy Week Service before Easter. Beth Mc President Susan Holladjy, Satly Burns. Beth Merrill, Mari arei Bnct. 29 II PSRA We all aren ' t Jill Jock . . . but you don ' t have to be to enjoy recreation, and this is exactly the goal of PSRA. Inza Walston, PSRA president, says, PSRA is trying to get as many students in- volved as possible that are not athletically inclined and to stress that you do not have to be an athlete to participate. The intramurals, which, through an expanded program, provides everything from Backgammon to Spades to Basketball, have been a major success in getting students involved in activ- ity. PSRA also sponsors the Powder Puff football game played between Freshmen and Sophomores, which is always unforgettable. Honor Court; Judiciary Board This is one organization at Peace that makes most of us sort of turn pale and break out in hives when mentioned. It ' s not really so dramatic, but to most of the students Honor Court is as- sociated with trouble. Hopefully, during our stay at Peace, we never get invited to one of their group meetings . . . But the Honor Court and Judiciary Board do much more than suspend students and search rooms. Leslie Dark, Alisa Lamm, iliav. ii % ' t Resident Hall Chairmen We can all remcmbt-r our first days at Peace when the sophomores would try their best to make us think that the rules were similar to those at Central Prison. But we can also remember some sophomores who did their best at explanations and answered hundreds of naive questions. These are the Resident Chairman. Their job continues through the year to keep us informed at weekly meetings about campus activities. They serve as the go-between for us and the administration and promote unity on their halls. Led by the Non-Resident Chairman, they have monthly meetings where reminders and information are given. Bake sales and Christ- mas card and wreath sales are discussed, and with money obtained from these sales the Non-Residents are able to purchase flowers for the chapel twice a year and to sponsor a special end-of-the year picnic. Non-Resident Chairman Teresa Medlin says the Non-Residents are just another part of a very special group — The Peace Family. Paula Dale, co-editor of Prism, says, the Prism staff is composed of students who enjoy the creative process of art and literature. Its pur- pose is to provide an outlet for talent and for the enjoy- ment of the student body. Prism Co-Editors — Candy Clapp and Paula Dale Peace Times Newspaper Peace Time Staff There ' s not a lack of news at Peace but a lack of people to write about it, said Kim Lennon, co-editor of Peace Times. Any interested student can participate in its publications which are issued monthly by the stu- dents. Photography, layout, news, and features writing ' are all parts of the Peace Times publication, so there seems to be something for everyone. Whether she is winning a tennis game or presiding at an Honor Court Session or doing her course work to make all those A ' s, Alisa is quietly — and modestly — impressive. Because Alisa is truthful, friendly, smcere; be- cause she truly is an Outstanding Sophomore; because her name really belongs m Who ' s Who m America ' s Junior Colleges; because she does represent the ideals of Peace, Alisa has received the highest honor one can obtain at Peace College. Mr. Crossno is appreciated by both students and colleagues for his genuine interest in our world. Through the good, through the bad are words anyone can identify with. Although the times are not always great, the time spent at Peace among friends will always be remembered and cherished.
