C, June 27, 1936 A gifted artist, a lover of all things beautiful, a unique per- sonality which combined a background of broad culture with wide intellectual interests, a rare sense of humor, an exceptional originality, a ready sympathy and a lavish generosity Mrs. Moore was a dominant figure in the life of Peace for twenty- seven years. Mrs Moore achieved unusual recognition and success in her work. She exhibited in the Grand Salon des artistes Francaises a wonderful picture which now hangs in our President s oltice While here, she painted many notable portraits; her latest, the Earl of Craven.

We were proud of Mrs. Moore; we admired her greatly. We loved her dearly for her generous character and her love for nature. Her favorite hobby was her flower garden, and there she spent many pleasant hours happily engaged in caring for her flowers. Often she would call to some one of us to see how well the new roses were growing, or to see a lovely ins that she had been afraid would not ' Ave. It was fun to share her interests and enthusiasm in flowers. We hope that the studio garden will always be a beautiful livmg remembrance of Mrs. Moore. 1866-1936
