For four consecutive years he has participated as an active member of Peabody High’s hockey team. He played his best and added much toward the success of the team. He hopes to contin- ue playing hockey in the future. He enjoys laboratory work and is al- ways willing to aid other science students with their problems. John intends to further his education in the fall. Civics Club Course Latin - Scientific MANUELA DIANNE MAISTRELLIS 62 Andover Street Teacher Manuela, intelligent, help- ful, and versatile, has con- tributed much to the suc- cess of the Class of ' 62. As art editor of the “Observ- er”, she has done an out- standing job of highlight- ing each edition. She plans to attend college this fall and major in elementary teaching. HELEN LOUISE LOVINS 79 Washington Street I. B. M. School and Social Work Helen is among the fem- inine females in our high school. She is quite the little homemaker. One of Helen’s most enjoyable pastimes is cooking. She also enjoys dancing and singing. Hockey and all other sports inc.uding water skiing rate high with Dick. As many of his follow classmates, he plans to enter college upon graduation. Civics Club 1 Hockey 4 Office Worker 4 Course - General JANICE ESTHER LYON 7 Griffin Road Mathematician Janice has been very busy this past year. With college applications, college entrance exams, science projects, and research pa- pers, Janice has not had much free time. However, she still is able to partici- pate in many of the school’s activities. Janice is also an active member in her church organiza- tions. She enjoys music, bowling, and swimming. He plans to attend college this fall, but is still unde- cided on a future profes- sion. He spends his spare time taking part in various sports. For the past four years she has been a com- mercial student. Ice- skat- ing? rates number one on her list of hobbies. She is also an active member in school functions. After her graduation, Ann plans to attend an I.B.M. school. Phil is al- so active on the hockey and baseball teams. He in- tends to further his edu- cation after graduation. Phil will also serve his re- quired time in the armed service. After graduation she hopes to attend school for training to become an airline hos- tess. Her high school hob- by has been the band and orchestra. Band 1, 2, 3 Meta Advertising Staff 4 Course - Commercial BERNARD MINOTT 13 Stevens Street Baker Bernie” Bernie, one of our more reserved students has, these past four years, contributed much to our rapidly im- proving band. He also has been active in school sports. Hockey and track have pri- marily occupied his time. Bernie plans to be a baker and perhaps one day own his own shop. Band 1, 2, 3, 4 Hockey 1 Track 2, 3, 4 JEANE FRANCES MITCHELL 72 Central Street Hairdresser Mitch Jeane is really at home on a dance floor, at a skat- ing rink, or in a swimming pool. In the future she will attend hairdressing school or become a member of the armed services. Whatever the career, “Mitch is sure to succeed. Course - Commercial JAMES JOSEPH MONAHAN, JR. 5 Laurel Street Junior College Jimmy Jimmy, tall, good looking, and carefree, is one of the more popular members of the Class of ' 62. Golf is his favorite sport, but he also enjoys other activities. Af ter graduation, Jimmy plans to attend a junior college to further his education. Golf 3 Course - General EDWARD F. MORAN 15 Tremont Street Electrician “Bugs” Eddie is well liked by all of his classmates because of his grand sense of humor and his pleasant personal- ity. A few of his hobbies are fishing and golfing. Upon completion of his senior year, Eddie plans to take up electronics at one of the well-noted schools. Course - General Course • General JOYCE PATRICIA NELSON 12 Barrett Road Airline Stewardess “ Joycie ” This sweet daughter of the Class of ’62 has been active in the various senool activities. She plans to at- tend college this fall. Her ambition is to become an airline stewardess. She en- joys reading and music. During her study periods, Joycie helps out in the school library. She will be an ideal teacher, for she pos- sesses all the ideal qual- ities necessary for her pro- fession. Besides being a sports enthusiast, Linda en- joys music and art. His golfing skill has greatly contributed to the school’s golf team. He plans to en- ter the service after grad- uation, and then train to become an airplane pilot.
