NATIONAL TEST TIME I liked watching Test Talk. It showed us how to prepare for the tests. Rose Kelley Test Talk was a good idea, but some ninth graders saw it last year and were bored . W. Pete Gwaltney Standardized tests were given to all students in November and then only to the ninth graders again in Febmary. The tests lasted from 9:00 to 11:00 for three days. If you walked down the hall, it seemed like a ghost town. Some students were nervous others weren ' t. Some questions were a breeze and others were complicated. On the third day, the testing ended. EIGHTH GRADE CLASS Sometimes I think of beautiful things: Pretty green mountains or lovely springs, A rose just opening its petals to the sun, A mother and daughter having fun. To go on a picnic on a warm spring day, Or see a little child at play, To climb a mountain big, bold and tall, And not be afraid that you might fall. All these things are beautiful, it ' s true, But keeping them beautiful is up to you. 70 Yvette Elaine Bethea School is a place to have fun and work. Don’t sit there and act like a jerk. You ' ll be proud if you sit and write. All of us want to be happy and bright. So take my advice; do what you ' re told. You may not have a chance to when you ' re old.
