The production of a yearbook on the junior high level is a great challenge for any staff. The amount of time, coordination and individual effort is enormous. Is it worth the time and money? At the first of the year, the staff must get together and decide upon a theme and make specific plans for the various pages of the book. 134 Pictured below are Ettora Epps, Carolyn Burrow, Sharon Walker, Brandon Robinson, Debbie Lewis, Lelie McNew and Ray Gryder who ponder these problems. Others work out details of art and design, Warren Hicks, Ettora Epps, Jackie Clanton, Cheryl Spain, Crystal Jefferson, Patricia Scott and Mari- lyn Wade. Edgar Best and Ettora Epps look t hrough the needed materials in the kit provided for compiling a yearbook. Many pages of layouts or rough drafts are made in the search for the perfect style and design. Cheryl Robertson, Kay Abernathy and Cassandra Coates, Tammy Ozmar and Kathy Cum- mings work on these designs. Thomas Mingia and Danny Saul- nier and others sort the 1400 indi- vidual pictures of the students, arranging them in alphabetical order and matching names to faces. Karen Massey, the editor. keeps all phases of the work mov-| ing along as it should. Sales pro- motion is necessary. A special I assembly is planned and produced I by the staff; Ettora Epps, Sylvia I Clark, Cindy Keller, Elizabeth I Edwards and Debora Rice recreate I Happy Days. After all the balloons and candy have been thrown to the audience, Thomas Mingia and | Terry Ellis help clean up.

Vhy did you join the debate club ? Most of us like to talk and find out what other people think. You learn different things about other people ' s feelings. 1 wanted to see how much I could learn. f Ji A professional photographer is hired to take the big pictures of the clubs. Mrs. Fauntleroy organized his day and staff members helped him through the school. Barry DeWitt, Greer Thurman, Deborah Rice, Gail McCray, Chris Squires, Cheryl Spain, Letetia Henderson, Marilyn Wyche, Betty Spears, Sharon Walker, Cindy Keller, Cathy Stafford and Sheila Harvey. Money. Got to have money. Patrons were asked to contribute a dollar to the production of the book. Robert Martin asked his teacher, Mr. Longsworth. Once the club pictures come in, people must be identified and articles written. Unfortunately, sometimes important pictures are lost.
