BACK ROW - Henri Moore, Eric Murphy, Dwayne Evans, Clarence Jones, Kermit Diggs, Clinsey Blowe, not pic- tured . In early November about sixty boys turned out after school. They were there for only one reason: to be chosen a member of the great Peabody Basketball Team. Only fifteen were selected. The team kept up the school record: Undefeated Four Straight Years. We played eight other teams, three of which were high school junior varsity teams, Surry, Gibbons, and Charles City High Schools. The trips to away games have been just as fun. LIONS ROAR FOR SEVEN YEARS After seven straight years as the one and only undefeated team, we are now being called the minor league team for Petersburg High ' s Crimson Wave. Most of the Lion ' s squad is advanced into star players at the high school each year. As long as the Lions keep winning, the Wave does.
