CAREFREE I like to joke , sing and play with people on the first day because it seems everyone feels free to do so, thinking you can ' t get in trouble or suspended on the first day. Most students think this way and try to take advantage of it. Chris Foreman PURP08ELE9S because the teacher always announces the rules she has made up and as the school year rolls along, you find that she just wasted her breath. Jo Ann Moody BORING because you don ' t know anyone . So you just sit and be quiet. Scott Survello MIXED UP since we ' re not on the regular bell schedule , you never know when the bell will ring so you can get out of class . Sherri Stutz blHUUMiyU My second semester teaching schedule wasn ' t at all like I had planned. M. Goodmansen QUICK It seems like the day goes by so fast. But the other days go so slowly. Theresa Wood DULL because you don ' t know that many folks. Melinda Clark DI90RGANIZED Some students lose their class EXCITING When I get my schedule , I schedules and are staggering around the halls trying to find like to see what classes I have. I go to class their new classes. Susan Wilde and check out the teacher and the students. I decide who I want to sit near. Some people talk a lot and are interesting to listen to , but sometimes they cause me to not do my work. Jacqueline Winfield 8CARY It ' s easy to get lost. You don ' t know who your teachers are , or how strict or how nice they are going to be . They might give a lot of homework or a little . Kay Abernathy 93

THE FIRST DA Y OF CLASS IS ALWAYS. OK I like all of my teachers . Diane Barnes TIMID It seems that the teachers are as timid as we are; willing to talk, but not saying much. After the class is almost over, it seems we are just swinging into it. On the second and third day, everything seems to run smoothly. Melanie Perry LONELY I m shy and really don ' t know how to act around strangers. Later I’ll learn that people are people even though we are strangers. Karen Lambert A JOKE Most of the students you know are good jokers, and it ' s nice to start the day with some fun. Cynthia Edmonds EA9Y We don ' t have homework, so we just sit around and talk. Bobby Stovall FUN because you will have to look for your class and you don’t know which way to turn to get there. Sharon Jones TROUBLE because when everyone first comes in the room, you will have to check your schedule and go through all that handing out of papers and registration cards for everyone to sign. Deanna Williams 9URPRI8ING because you want to know the classes you’re going to have, the teachers, and whether or not your friends will be in any classes with you. When you get your schedule you ' re even more surprised because you get one of the electives you wanted and one of the required classes. Cynthia Edwards. EXCITING because you get to meet new friends and old ones. The day gets more exciting because you get to meet all the teachers you don ' t know , and you get to see if they are good or bad.
