The Script Staff was very efficient with its officers: Connie Daniel, Editor; Betty Scott, Associate Editor; Grady Powell Jr., Tereska Roberts, Michelle Branch, Florence Beasley, and John Jackson. The purpose of the Literary Club was to encourage individuals to read and discuss books, to help students have a purpose for their reading and to know how to read to accomplish this purpose, and to increase the reading power of the student. Student Body Was Represented by Student Council The Student Council got a great start this year, with the sale of pompoms and booster buttons. Some of the projects the S.C.A. accomplished were: sponsoring an orphan, the Harvest Ball, movies. Thanksgiv- ing and Christmas baskets and the attendance problem. The Representatives have been the main voice of the school, demonstrating such problems as: buses leaving early, cafeteria complaints, juke box, and not enough activities. Some of the end of the year - coming events are the: Valentine ' s Dance, Follies, Prom, and 9th Grade Week.
