Ran errands, stapled papers, helped or wailed on people as they came in the office; sorted mail, stuffed important forms or memos in mail boxes; helped bring up supplies from the supply room. Guidance Office Helpers; Diane Brooks, Deanna Dennison, George Bonner, Jan Hopkins, Lorie Smith. They received and directed students and other persons who came to the guidance office and Clinic; they went on errands for counselors and nurse; they saw to it that the guidance reception area was kept presentable; they assisted counselors and the nurse in sorting, counting, classifying material, etc.

The Peabody FBLA, during 1974-1975, has participated in a national spelling contest and a national arithmetic contest. We have also worked on an emblem for our club and mounted it on a poster for our meeting room. In December we had Mrs. Nancy Shelton from the home economics department talk to us and show us how to make poodles” out of puffs of yarn. Members are making these for either personal desire or for Christmas presents. Along with the national organization of FBLA, we will be selling trash bags for project HELP” which is fund raising for the March of Dimes to fight birth defects. The fund-raising project for our local club is ” selling candy which will be done during December and January . The FBLA group sponsors a Miss or Mr. FBLA contest and award and also presents an award to the member earning the most amount of money for the group . The officers and executive board mem- bers of the VICA club have been making plans to tour the Norfork Vocational Cen- ter in the Spring. This trip will provide our students in VICA the opportunity to become familiar with what student-lear- ners in the Tidewater area are doing, and will enable them to compare how class- room instruction is being related to tech- nical and vocationally oriented occupa- tions .
