Q u E E N 0 F C 0 U R T S It's that time of the year again for some lucky girl to get crowned as Queen. This year the lucky girl was Dianna Brewer. The crowning ceremon- ies were held prior to the game. Our opponent for the Queen of Courts game was Hills- boro. We had a whopping vic- tory of 84-50. For entertainment at the dance there was a DJ, Gail Kiger.from Hutchinson. Besides the good music, he put on a good show with many types of strobe lights. 1• Candidates for Queen were Lynn Jones, Dianna Brewer and Diane Deforest. 2. Queen of courts game against Hillsboro was a victory for our side. 3. Jodie Howell looks worried she is going to fall right into the middle of the decorations. 4. Amy Taylor and Kim Shaw decor- ate the little gym for the dance. 5. Queens and Escorts : Top row : Mark Maples, Jeff Mellott and Bruce Snelling. Second row : Diane DeForest, Dianna Brewer and Lynn Jones. 18

PHS Football team went to State with a 9-0 winning record. They were up against the long running champs Beloit. 2. Two members of the Writing Class went to a State Yearbook Contest in Lawrence. 3. Band soloists and trios went to a State Contest and scored ones. 4. Forensics had two of its members go to State. 20
