HOMECOMING The ' 77-' 78 Home- coming theme was You Light up my Life. Highlights were the crowning of the Queen Renae Brenzikofer and extinguishing the fire of the Halstead Drag- ons, 32 - 6, for the twenty-fourth straight win. The dance was held in the JH gym with the band Saraha. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. The Queen with her attendants Becky Vogelman and Deb Holm reign over the game. Escorts were Bruce Snelling, Roger Foote and Jeff Moore. The Homecoming Float Contest was won by the Class of '78 with the theme Gong the Dragons. Renae waits patiently for a warrior vic- tory. Cupids were : Grace Edmonds, Tommy Foth, Amy Haehn , Ty Frederickson, Roxanne DalIke and Scotty Shaw. 16

scholarship honor society 1. This year’s National Honor Society members were : ROW 1 : Lynn Jones, Lance Flaming and Ronda Schmidt. ROW 2 : Lyle Leppke, Becky Keeler, Deb Holm and Diane DeForest. 2. Arlen Gfeller received a pin and bar for scholarship from Mr. Web- ster and Mr. Arevalo. 3. The guest speaker for the banquet was Phil Coleman. He is a teacher at Brown Mackie College. 4. This year’s scholarship students were: ROW 1 : Lynn Jones, Janelle Stucky , Carol Taylor, Carrie Egan and Kathy Meir- owsky. ROW 2 : Ronda Schmidt, Gregg Webster, Max Cooper, Diane DeForest,Renae Brenzikofer , Becky Vogelman, Lisa Clark and Arlen Gfeller. ROW 3 : James Unruh, Kent Leppke, David Cooper , Deb Holm , Lani Woodruff , Pam Stucky and Donna Bloomer. Not pic- tured : Colleen May- nard. 17
