FORENSICS TOP TO BOTTOM: Galen Roberts, Jamie Crawford, Brenda Gillet, Cathy Castleman, Kathy Waner, Bobby Riggs, Harlin Unruh, Lynn Jones, Albert Throckmorton, Mrs. Dorothy Rucker, Tracy Phillips, Katie Parrish, Patsy Torres, Ronda Schmidt, Janet Gillet. This year the speech and drama students attended a forensics clinic in Wichita where they saw examples of various forensics contest events. They also participated in discussion groups and received assistance in preparing themselves for the drama contest season. The forensics team participated in the Invitational Forensics Meet at Remington, and a forensics meet at Bethel College in Newton, and the MKL Forensics Meet at Moundridge. At the State Forensics Contest at Wichita State University, Jamie Crawford and Brenda Gillet received a I for their improvised duet. WARRIOR STAFF SEATED: Renae Brenzikofer, Ronda Schmidt. FIFTH ROW: Ronnie Harms, Todd Carlisle, Mogan Schmidt, David Holm. FFA members enjoyed a busy year. At the State Fair they were hosts at the Kiddie's Barn Yard. Greenhand night was a hamberger fry to welcome the Freshmen. In October Peabody was host for the District Horticulture and Ento- mology Contest. In January the members enjoyed an evening of fun at McPherson YMCA. In February they celebrated National FFA Week. The Peabody-Walton Farmers Grain Co-op sponsored a field trip for FFA members. They visited Farmland Industries at McPherson and Hutchinson. The Annual FFA Banquet had its usual large attendance. This year Harlin Unruh and Bruce Burke were selected as State Farmers, and David Harder and Ronda Schmidt were picked as the South Central District Pro- ficiency Award Winners in Rural Electricity and Forest Management.
