ANN KOTTWITZ ATTENDS GIRLS STATE Sunflower Girl's State was held in June, 1974, on the Kansas University campus at Lawrence, Kansas. Each girl attending was sponsored by a local American Legion Auxiliary Post. The week was spent learning about our state government. The girls held campaigns, political rallies, and worked on city projects. They also had the opportunity to hear prominent guest speakers. STUDENT COUNCIL Seated: Greg Topham, Deb Stucky, Mitch Foote.
