Dick Carr, Mary Palmer, Jean DeForest, and John Jacobs attended Boys' and Girls' State at Wichita and Lawrence, respectively. A week was spent in learning about the govern- ment through actual participation. These students were sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Progressive Mothers' Club, and the American Legion. Future Legislators The Student Council is the governing body of the student body. Homecoming and the noon recreation program is sponsored by the Council.
