Prophecy of the Class of ’59 It is now 1979. The Class of '59 is finally settled in this world. Let us observe each member and their activities. SALLY GAINES’ training in general business helped her. She is chief secretary and human guinea pig at Oak Ridge, Tennessee. PAM HERBERT has been named the second Antoine Lavoisier in the field of chemistry. Pam has a laboratory in Florida where she works on new chemicals. FRANK CORNELIUS is owner and manager of the Mexico City Dodgers. That was the only city in the world that would have them. PAT BROOKS is a house cleaner, deluxe. “Housecleaning -- Reasonable rates.” SHARON WINTER owns one of the greatest meat industries in Kansas. She makes the best sausage in the state. JIM ETTER got a job with an equipment agency in Peabody and now owns and operates ten branch stores in Kansas. LEON HEDRICK runs one of the largest golf courses in the nation. Even Ike flies to Kansas to play golf. MARILYN COX is the PHS secretary when she isn’t looking after her boys. JIM COX is sales manager at Ross’ Food Liner. He doesn’t deliver milk to the school now that he has been promoted. JOHN JACOBS left the country for the South Pacific and now runs a resort for tourists. JOAN ENGEL lives in Herington where she works part time. On Sunday she is concert pianist with the Kansas City Symphony. GENE EDMONDS motivated the Robot-Gentleman farming idea.
