With them are Karen Black, head nurse at the New York hospital and her husband, a promising chemist. They are followed by Barbara Young, a famous hair stylist, Aundra Swope, vice-presi- dent of the New York Stock Exchange and Yvonne Thierry, the new nuclear physicist every- one has heard about during the year. As I enter the lobby, I notice the very beautiful murals painted by the noted artists, Richard Tissue and Laura Reight. There I met my old friend, Wilma Gindler who is now a successful lawyer. She tells me that Alvin Catz is teaching psychology at Princeton and that Berkley Benson is singing with a popular dance band. As she leaves me, I stop to speak with Florence Bender, New York columnist who speaks of Donna Ains- man, who is enjoying her honeymoon in Ber- muda, of Mary Oburg who is traveling about the country, of Louise Riedmaier and Gail Noden who are doing interpretive work for the govern- ment and of Reggie Johnson who is engineering the building of a new highway into Canada. As I seat myself, I see in the chairs opposite me Joanne Studt and her husband, a wealthy oil baron, chatting with Joyce Grudzinsky and her fiance, a successful automobile manufacturer. Before me are seated Melvin Labovitz and Wayne Tarshis eminent pharmacists and Phillip Kuber, professor of physics at the University of Iowa. Waving to me from their loge seats are Beverly Manning, who operates a secretarial school and her instructors in that school, Judy Allman, Ruth Berks, Marion Washington and Ruth Pacella. Seated next to them are Carl Gentile and Jim Fleishauer president and vice president respectively, of an international print- ing firm. The Armed Forces are represented by Czerna Neal, a major in the Women's Armed Forces. Furloughs were given to Joseph Killian, Norm Westwood, Russell Jackson and Jerry Weisbeker, the crew on the airplane that made a record run around the world, and Bob Dudt who just re- turned from a skirmish on the high seas. But now the warning lights are flashing and I must end by wishing everyone in the program good luck. To one and all, this is Marcia Caplan and Joanne Emery, representatives for the National Broadcasting Station, saying, Good-Night. KING AND QUEEN SWING
