Congratulations to the fine class of 1962 for having reached another rung on the academic ladder of success. Because of the very active leadership roles which many of you have played in the life of Peabody, we feel proud of you and the possibilities for your future. Some of you have indicated potentiality for achiev- ing great things in life. Through continued prepara- tion designed to enable you to meet the challenges of the future, you will be given opportunity to demon- strate the real worth of your high school training received at Peabody under our direction. Others of you, perhaps not preferring leadership roles, have demonstrated a splendid sense of loyalty and cooperation to your leaders. Regardless of your roles in areas of scholarship or extra-curricular activities, there will come opportunities for you to reflect creditably on yourselves and on Peabody. By your continued loyalty to the school, by your insistence of develop- ing and maintaining high principles of living, and by your making your influence for good felt in every movement of social, religious, economic, and civic significance in your community, you will contribute immeasurably to the proud name of your alma mater, Peabody High School.
