LEWIS TURNER Photo Editor As editor of the 1962 edition of the Lion, I have tried to project the various activities and the divisions of our school. I have tried to bring to the attention of the students, parents, and friends the true spirit that prevails at Peabody, and to renew this spirit wherever it might be waning. I sincerely hope that this yearbook will be proof of the undying spirit and loyalty in the class of 62. As adviser of the 1962 edition of the Lion, I, with the able assistance of the yearbook sponsors, have had the privilege of correlating and summeriz- ing the activities of the current gradu- ating class for the past five years . I was guided in this capacity by the following tenet: A yearbook is a catalogue of events designed to reflect the high school career of the current senior class. This yearbook is a pictorial history of life around Peabody and is presented as a monument of the achievements of the ”62 class . I sincerely hope that the 1962 Lion achieves that goal.
