Foreword We, the Class of 1960, proudly present our yearbook, THE LION. As we complete our period of high school education, we express our heartfelt thanks to the administra- tion of our public school system, our principal and assistant principal, our teachers, our advisors, our parents, and our friends. The staff of this yearbook sincerely hopes that you will enjoy the contents of this book which serve as a record of our accomplishments. Although we may wander far away, we hope that it will forever preserve our most treasured memories. MRS. FLORENCE D. BROWN With sincere gratitude and love we dedicate the 1960 Lion to Mrs. Florence Brown. For our entire senior year she has unselfishly given her todays to help us build our tomorrows. She has had a keen insight into our problems. She has given generously her time and effort to solve these problems and she has kept us happy and progressive by her unfailing faith in our ability to build a good life. Her influence on our student body will be a monument to her love for youth and her untiring efforts in behalf of her school and community.
