Dear Seniors, As you leave Peabody High School, I wish to extend sincere congratulations on behaif of the faculty . Great responsibi I i ties lie ahead . You wi 1 1 need an inner fortitude to cope with the complex issues of our times during which both men and women will be needed to solve the many problems that lie ahead. With the inner reinforcements we hope you have gained here at Peabody, your dynamic energy, your ability to dare and your fine current thinking we are confident that you will attain great heights. We have much faith in you. I recall a telecast interview of an architect of national prominence who was asked the question, In all your experience what do you consider your greatest achievement? His response was, My greatest achievement is my next achievement. These words represent the philosophy of a man who has been contributing fresh ideas to the world for many decades. Seniors, as you leave, can you think of a greater challenge than the one expressed in the words of this great man? Whatever the human problems ahead, or regardless of how much has already been accomplished, you should strive to make that next achievement your greatest. Best wishes for success! Sincerely yours, Clyde S. Scott, Principal 1 1
