The sophomore football team has been preparing this year to win as a varsity team in the next two years. They have practiced hard and train- ed to keep in top shape. Many times they sacrificed activities and stayed home with sore muscles and bruises for the chance to play. At the first of the football season they were pretty rough but as the year went on they got sharper and tougher. The captains chosen by the sopho- . . , , ,y 'Is '55 . This year the team worked hard to have a good team and to win their games. Every night after school it was run and sweat and hustle. Many hours of practice were spent to work out plays and to shape a group of young men into a team . Ron Gilmore displayed great sportsman- ship and teamwork as captain of the team this year. Together with Coach Worthen they kept the team in training. Coach Worthen used his knowledge and understanding of the sport to make the best team possible. He worked and planned plays that would help us defeat our opponents on the court. The team was small this year but had enough spirit and ability to make up for it.
