Payson Exchange Assembly presented for the student body. Invitational Track Meet at Provo. Choral Festival at Orem for Region 5. Thespian Club sponsored a Dance. Mrs. Oborn's sewing classes presented their annual fashion show for the girls and their Mothers. The theme this year was Younger Than Springtime. MAY Head tor the Hills, boys! It's Girls' Day! More tun. Now The girls can toot the bill. The theme for Girls' Day was Younger Than Springtime. The girls brought their Dads and everyone had a wonderful time at the Dads and Daughters party. F.H.A. Canyon Party. State Track meet at Salt Lake. Seniors get a day out of school, and legit- imate, too! l.agoon bound - hurrayl The Senior class will enjoy their last ban- quet together. Every Senior is waiting for this sad, but joyous occasion, to walk across the stage and receive his diploma. Here's hoping you'II never forget the fun and inspiration that you have gained at good old P.H.S. Congratulations Seniors, Goodbye and Good Luck.

DECEMBER All the Senior girls participated in the Na- tional Betty Crocker Contest. Sophomores presented their assembly. The theme was Winter Wonderland. Roger Ross and Suzanne Shaw were chosen as the Sweet- hearts. The dance was held that same even- ing. First pre-season basketball game. Payson at North Sanpete. We lost! 47-40. Pre-season basketball game. Payson at Heber We lost again!! 43-24. Pre-season basketball game. Box Elder at Payson. And we lose again! 60-50. T2 The dramatics class presented their ond play for the year. Remember the old fireplace? The title was The Noose. Payson played Manti at Manti. Tough boys! 46-40. The team lost to Bingham a home-game 46-33 The Seminary sponsored their annual Xmas Dance. The decorations were pretty and they were planned around the theme Silver Bells. Union at Payson. Payson was victorious 54-33 Mr. Christensen and his chorus class presen ed Handel's Messiah. We beat Cyprus!! They in football, but they sure basketball. 47-40. F.H.A. Slumber Party ng suc- cess with the mighty pack. The Lions met Lehi at Leyand came back with a victory. 48-34. beat us in beat us in leading the t- , ili' A .5 gk., - I' -31- , . Must have been the big floor! 44-26. Our first season basketball game at Orem. Guess we started off on the wrong foot! They beat us. 61-37. Spanish brought an exchange assembly. Spanish defeated us in a 56-30 victory. Well, here we go again! Payson at Provo, and Provo victorious with a 60-39 score. Shall we try it again? Oh, well, Payson went down to their fourth straight defeat when they played the Dinosaurs. 50-38. Founders' Day . . . Students stay home and parents come . . . nice, eh? National Assembly . . . student body saw demonstrations on the properties and pos- sibilities of liquid air. WE DID IT! We beat Springville when the Lions met the Devils on the Devils' court. 66-57. FEBRUARY WE BEAT OREM!! These three little words will long be remembered in the hearts of every Senior boy and girl. The Lions met the Tigers on the home court and literally tromped them 58-49. We didn't beat Spanish, 52-47, but the stu- dent body was still in high spirits from the Orem game. Provo at Payson. Lions were once more de- feated by the Bulldogs. 58-46. Seminary banquet was a big success. They got their pins, with a feast to back it up. Everyone enioyed the Valentine Dance after the banquet. as-s ,
