Charles Wakefield Cadman's dramatic operetta, Lela- wala was presented this year by the chorus class. The three-act operetta was directed by J. D. Christensen Cmusicl, Don Milner Cdramaticsl, and Clara Johnson Cdancej. The action of the operetta takes place in an Indian village on the banks of the Niagara River near the falls and is centered around a young Indian maiden who offers herself as a sacrifice to save her people. The story, simple but fascinating, unfolds into splendid acting and beautiful songs. The music department will long be complimented for this production. l must say, they have a sense of humor.
