MARCH: . Final performance of opera. . Junior Prom. Red Sails in the Sunset. Charlotte Ivey chosen to be queen with attendants Joy Wightman and Murriel Dodds. . F.F.A. Convention. Dianne Shepherd and attend- ants were presented as our chapter sweethearts and they gained recognition at annual conven- tion in Salt Lake. APRIL: . Baseball begins. Eight weeks of school left! April fool paper. . Springville defeated Payson in tennis matches. . Regional Speech Meet. Our play No Jade Shall Burn was chosen to go to the state along with several P.H.S. Students. . Elections for next year's studentbody officers. Both parties had cute skits. Votes were close, but the green party consisting of Blaine, Lynn and Rose, came out on top. . Tennis at Provo. We lost. As we looked to see out P on the hill, we were startled to see that a change had taken place. lt was now an F , Courtesy of Spanish. Plans were made to invade them, but the cops were notified so nothing was done. . Chemistry classes took a trip to Geneva. A half day of school was missed, and fun was had by all. Spanish came and apologized for disturbing our emblem. ,-f ' 'WWF f 1 11. Mr. Sun. Film presented by Telephone Company. was enioyed by the students. Baseball at Payson, Springville as opponents. 12. Clean-up Day. School was excused. 13. State Speech and Drama Meet. We did O. K. Seminary students enioyed a trip to Salt Lake. A film The Ten Commandments was one of the highlights. 16. Tennis. Payson vs Orem. 18-19. Dance Class presented the annual dance revue. Theme chosen was Through the Years. Miss Johnson is the adviser for the classes. Payson at Spanish Fork, baseball. 23. Tennis, Payson vs. Spanish. 25. Baseball game with Orem. 26. Sophomore dance was one of the highlights of April. The theme was Let's Go Calypso. 30. Tennis. Baseball, Payson at Provo. MAY: 3-4. Regional Track Meet. 9. Fashion show was very successful, under the direction of Mrs. Oborn. Everything turned out fine. Baseball, Payson at Carbon. 10. Girls Day.
