Payson High School's tennis team was in fine shape by the time league competition opened in April. Five regular matches were played by this years team. Some members of the team partici- pated in the B.Y.U. lnvitationals and the Regional Tennis Meet. This years team had five returning lettermen and several other players with a great deal of experience. This was the best team Payson has had in recent years. As the season progressed the members of the team improved greatly giv- ing all their rivals some stiff competition and winning a fair share of their matches. Returning Lettermen: Cordell Chipman, Frank Warr, Mike Montague, Dennis Spencer, Joe Liddle.
