The Payson High Band with its fine group of instrumentalists has proven that they are an exceptionally well coordinate group. The band under the direction of J. D. Christensen has competed in various music festivals and marching contests where they have proven to be well instructed. The Payson High Band was rated high in the festivals held at Springville in which many members participated in competition as soloists, small group numbers and precision marching. A drive for new uniforms has topped the bands activities and it is hoped they will have them for use next year. J. D. Christensen also directed the pep band and orchestra that played on the exchange and pep assemblies.

Blossom Time is a musical play in three acts. The Books and Lyrics by Dorthy Donelly. Music after melodies of Franz Schubert and H. Berts, adopted by Sigmund Romberg. It was presented March 7, 8, 9, in the Payson High School Audi- torium. The action of the operetta took place in Vienna in 1826. Many musical numbers are well known, being those of Schubert. The operetta is based around Franz Schubert's life and love affair with a beautiful maiden who he loses to Schober. Bellahruna does everything in her power to get Baron Schober for herself and causes a lot of sorrovvfulness with Mitzi and Schubert. Mitzi falls in love with Baron Schober and Franz Schu- bert is happy to unite them.
