 She left us all for a better place, But we ll never forget that delightful face. Too many memories she left in our hearts — In all her successes we feft a part. Kim ABE Celebrating her 17th birthday last year Was a memorable event, causing laughter and cheer It was the start of a winning season, And Abe’s determination was the reason As a naive'freshman on the bus we often heard. ' Are we to the crosses? Is that a buffalo herd?” How much farther?” Are we there yet? Were constant questions until she became a vet. With her along the bus trips were never dull. She would entertain and have a ball. Volleyball trips to State with her were a blast. In the role of fun-maker, she was cast. On a red light Turn left she would say. And we would all laugh as the driver did obey. I Wanna Be a Cowboy” she would sing constantly. It would psyche her up to perform expertly. Outspoken and sincere were traits she possessed. How our Honest Abe' felt, one never had to guess Her Hollywood discus and medals remain As an everlasting reminder of her local fame. When we see a cocker spaniel or a little yellow car, We think of our Abe and how fond we are Of her courage, her success, her fun-loving life. And the memory strikes our hearts like a knife. On Mam we look for Abe on a license plate. And recall a friend and teammate who was really first rate. Julie Abel may have left us for a long while. But she will always be remembered with a tear and a smile. It was obvious if her discus throw was not up and out. And blow away her competition at every big meet With great pride, she placed eighth in State. And after four years, breaking the school record was great Success was always her greatest desire.
