This year’s J.V. volleyball team was a very highly skilled and aggressive team. With a 19 5 record, they have been the hardest working team I have had for years. This year’s freshmen were a very coachable group. The J.V. team were overall a very active team; they improved greatly over the whole season. They will help make a very skilled Varsity squad. This was the third year of partial Freshman football since it was dropped. The J.V. football team was coached by Mr. Glenn and Mr. Bailey; this was Mr. Bailey’s second year as coach. The freshmen showed improvement throughout the year. These boys will be the future Mustangs at Paxton, and will carry on the tradition of good ball playing. Paxton's record was 1-9 this year.

Mark Kavajecz. This year's season was mainly characterized as a rebuilding one. Throughout the year the members of varsity squad changed frequently with the strengthening of the team. Craig and Mark frequently led the pack throughout the year. Both will be missed next year, but will be replaced by strong hopefuls. Among this group will be sophomore Jeff Harrison who often was also up front. Coach Guyot pressed the team early in the season which helped it greatly later on. All through the year the team always kept a high spirit and that helped to hold the team together.
