Jari L. Oncken, vocal music director, head of the school’s nominating com- mittee and the editors of the annual direc- tory have included the names of these students based on their music ability, academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and future potential. (Christy1 Paxton hands Tartars Uirls tennis team 58-43 loss Tuesday edges Rantoul 5-4 by Jeff Pierce The Paxton Mustangs survived a first- half scare and rallied for a 58-43 win over Fairbury-Cropsey Tuesday. The Mustangs fell behind 28-24 at half- time but outscored the Tartars 34-15 in the second half to win. After a shaky first half, our kids came out and played good basketball, said Paxton coach Pat Prina. “We were tight before the game.” Prina blamed the first-half lapse on the emotional aspect of the game.
