Bringing in the Boar's head. Vicki Corning and Chuck Tuggle. Serving the Queen and her court. Singers and dancers-Kathy Carson and Ted Beer. How's this for a new thing? The cafeteria is transformed into the throne room of the English palace; high school students become the Queen's court, and Theresa Tucker turns out to be Queen Elizabeth, herself. What is it? Why, it’s Madrigals, of course; the old-time English singers and dancers are back, under the direction of Mrs. Mary Ann Beer. At the two Madrigal Banquets, guests were served such food as Roast Beef au Jus, Flaming Plum Pudding, and Wassail. The banquet was complete with a boar's head, singers, dancers, musicians, waitresses, and Elizabethan costumes. Did you miss it this year? Well, with luck you can attend next year. Left: Sponsor, Mrs. Beer. Center: Queen Elizabeth-Teresa Tucker. Right: Jester-Hilary Kaye.

Joy Williams comes from the northern half of Tasmania, the island state of Australia, and lives on a beef farm. Her eldest brother is married as is her only sister. Her older brother has just graduated from college. Her younger brother is in his sophomore year in high school. Since she has been here she has participated in many activities especially sports which she enjoys very much. She has spoken at many churches, service clubs, 4-H clubs about her country. While she was here, she stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thompson, Cindy, Julie, and Chris. Not only did the Thompsons enjoy having Joy live with them, but PHS students enjoyed meeting and knowing a real Australian. PHS will always welcome you, Joy, so hurry back! I Oh no, not me again! sighs Joy as she busily mends a curtain for the fall play. Joy's family: Ian, Johanna (niece). Mum, Dad, and Matthew (nephew).
