Anna—American Field Anna-Elisabeth Kravik, in her native Norwegian costume. My parents live in a very beautiful area near Nisser lake. The lake is surrounded by mountains, a lot of wood and small lakes. The district is a typical farming and lumbering area. There are not too many people here, but the people who are living here are very friendly and relaxed. My father works in a hydroelectric power station. My oldest brother, Steinar, is attending an engineering school. Last summer, just before I came to the U.S., my other brother, Morten, got married. They live in Porsgrunn, where they work and go to school. I have one sister, Aasta, who goes to school. Anna-Elisabeth's family in Norway. Front row: Aasta, Astrid, Anna-Elisabeth Kravik. Back row: Steinar, Asbjorn, and Morten. 16

Service Students — Joy Left: Joy Williams and Gary Anderson at the Homecoming dance. Right: Trying to keep warm, Joy tells us a little about her country. Joy Williams comes from the northern half of Tasmania, the island state of Australia, and lives on a beef farm. Her eldest brother is married as is her only sister. Her older brother has just graduated from college. Her younger brother is in his sophomore year in high school. Since she has been here she has participated in many activities especially sports which she enjoys very much. She has spoken at many churches, service clubs, 4-H clubs about her country. While she was here, she stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thompson, Cindy, Julie, and Chris. Not only did the Thompsons enjoy having Joy live with them, but PHS students enjoyed meeting and knowing a real Australian. PHS will always welcome you, Joy, so hurry back! I Oh no, not me again! sighs Joy as she busily mends a curtain for the fall play. Joy's family: Ian, Johanna (niece). Mum, Dad, and Matthew (nephew). John, Joy's brother, works on the Rural Fires Board. 17
